Genuine OEM standpipe and tube sheet assembly.
The Pentair 59053600 center core (PST SKU PST-17-110-1214) is the one-piece standpipe and tube sheet assembly for 75 sq ft Clean & Clear and Clean & Clear Predator tanks, and it carries over to Pentair EasyClean and the pre-2009 above-ground Clean & Clear systems. It keeps the cartridge centered, seals the clean side into the lid port, and routes filtered water out to the return. Once the tube sheet cracks, the filter is passing unfiltered water no matter how clean the element is.

Which center core fits my filter?
Go by the square footage on your filter data label, not the tank diameter, because the shells look alike across sizes. Pentair splits the family four ways: 50 sq ft takes 59053500, 75 sq ft takes this core, 59053600, 100 and 125 sq ft take 59053700, and 150, 175, and 200 sq ft take 59053800. They are not interchangeable, regardless of what marketplace listings claiming one core fits every size tell you.
Will this work in an EasyClean or an older above-ground Clean & Clear?
Yes. The 59053600 is the specified core for Pentair EasyClean tanks and for the above-ground Clean & Clear systems built before 2009, which share the 75 sq ft internals. Confirm the square footage on your data label first, since the above-ground line was sold in several sizes under similar model names.
Can I install it myself?
Yes, it is a hand-tool job. Shut the pump off, close the suction and return valves, open the manual air relief to bleed pressure, and drain the tank. Release the clamp band, lift the lid, and pull the cartridge and old core out together. Seat the new core flat in the lower boss, slide the element over it, and retighten the clamp band evenly all the way around before restarting.
