How much pH Down do I add?
If your pH reads above 7.7 but below 8.0, add 1/4 oz (2 tsp) per 500 gallons with the circulation running. For readings above 8.0, follow the dosing chart on the bottle. Let the water turn over, then retest before you add a second dose. Adding more than the chart calls for is the fastest way to overshoot and end up chasing pH in the other direction.
Will this work with my sanitizer?
Yes. The formula is compatible with chlorine, bromine, biguanide, silver mineral, and ozone spas, so it drops into whatever program you already run. Because it dissolves fast, it also gets your sanitizer back to working efficiently instead of fighting an out of range pH.
How do I handle it safely?
This is a corrosive dry acid and the label carries a DANGER signal word: it may cause burns to eyes and skin. Wear eye protection and gloves, add it directly to circulating spa water rather than to a skimmer or feeder, and never mix it with other chemicals in a bucket or in the bottle.
