These low priced and lower quality copies are of Chinese manufacture and they are usually under powered for pools larger than above ground size (up to approx 15xxx gallons) no matter what you read. Mineral electrode chemistry is typically lacking in that they feature copper only no silver, etc. Most do not include an electrode basket a necessary component. Product life is short due to inappropriate quality and selection of materials. Customer service & support is not in their vocabulary, which comes only from decades of direct communication with the end user. They are all nothing more than reverse engineered facsimilies of the floatron, without the benefit of the necessary knowledge base.
